AHCA BA • Instructions to Update Email/Phone

Provider Type(s): 39

The following alert only applies to providers participating in the BA EVV pilot program that will be delivering BA services to recipients with home addresses in Regions 9, 10, and 11.

Behavior Analysis EVV – Revised Instructions to Update Provider Contact Information

Providers were previously advised to update their Mail To/Correspondence address in the secure Florida Medicaid Provider Web Portal in error.

Providers instead need to update their Service Location Address.
Each provider must have an email and phone number that is unique to them. If the provider works with multiple group providers, the rendering provider only needs to make one update in the secure Florida Medicaid Provider Web Portal. To make this update the provider should access the secure Portal at: https://home.flmmis.com/home/ and follow these instructions:

The portal displays instructions if providers have forgotten their login or password.

Do not delay — Once updated in the FMMIS, it can take several days before the new information is in the Tellus eVV System to allow visit scheduling.

Other Information
Provider training for the eVV System has been extended through September. If you have not already registered for or attended training, please take this opportunity to do so; go to the Training & Resources page on the AHCA BA EVV website. If you have questions regarding training or system registration contact Tellus at: 1.833.622.2422.

Beginning October 1, 2019, providers must bill through the Tellus eVV System and must no longer bill via the Provider Web Portal Direct Data Entry (DDE). (The following services: H0031 Behavioral Assessments and H0032 Behavioral Reassessment, should continue to be billed as they are today.)

Hurricane Dorian Update – You Need to Be Prepared

Gov. Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency for all Florida counties as we prepare for hurricane Dorian to make landfall in Florida.

What you need to do first and foremost is:

  • Heed all warnings and mandatory evacuations from local and State officials.
  • Follow all established instructions and emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Follow all established procedures for the delivery of services during and after the threat of the hurricane has passed.

The Tellus eVV Administrator and Claims Consoles as well as the Tellus eVV Mobile App will remain fully operational during the storm and during any after effects of the storm. You can continue to set up schedules for visits to occur on or after October 1, 2019.

The Tellus eVV Customer Service Center will be closed Monday, September 2, 2019, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. If the after effects of the storm extend beyond Monday, the Tellus Customer Service Center will be open during normal business hours with limited staff to support Tellus eVV clients. You can reach the Customer Service Center at 1-833-242-2388 or via email: ahcabaevv@4tellus.com.

Your safety and the safety of your recipients is the first priority. Tellus is here to support you.

Behavior Analysis Electronic Visit Verification Date Change and Important Actions Needed

EVV Will Now Go Live October 1

The Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) has changed the implementation date for BA EVV in Regions 9, 10, and 11 to October 1. This is to ensure that providers have additional time to resolve the issue described below.

Take Action Now to Ensure You Can Receive Payment.

The Agency has identified that 26% of all behavior analysis (BA) rendering providers do not have unique email addresses or phone numbers listed in the Florida Medicaid Management Information System (FMMIS). Without this information, those providers cannot be scheduled to deliver services, and group providers will not be able to bill and get paid for services rendered by those providers.

It is critical that rendering providers without unique information in FMMIS update their email addresses and phone numbers as quickly as possible. Group providers that do not see their rendering providers in the eVV System, should contact their rendering providers and advise them to update their email address and phone number in the FMMIS. Each rendering provider must log in to the secure Florida Medicaid Provider Web Portal at: https://home.flmmis.com/home/ and update the Mail To/Correspondence fields.

Do not delay — Once updated in the FMMIS, it can take several days before the new information is in the Tellus eVV System to allow visit scheduling.
